Cowboy Miles

We got back from our long day trip late last night. T J and I went to Grove to celebrate our oldest son's birthday and our youngest grandson's birthday (happy 27th to Mikey and happy 1st to Edric!!). We left at 6 a.m and got back after 11 p.m. We covered about 600 miles. Talk about tired!! We were exhausted!!

It was great visiting with Mikey and Jenean, and our uber-cool grandsons Ashton and Edric. Davy and Sonya came over from Bella Vista, Arkansas, with their girls Haley and Sophia. On the way to Grove we went up to Ponca City and picked up our youngest son, Miles, who made the trip with us.

It seems that things are changing for the better everywhere you look. Mikey and Davy both have new work positions that pay better and that they enjoy. Miles told us that he is currently jumping through all the necessary hoops in order to go to Oklahoma State University this fall. He was accepted to OSU when he first graduated high school, but wasn't able to go at that time. Now it seems that, if everything works out, he will be able to go!! He will be working toward a B.A. in Creative Writing with a minor in either history or political science. Cowboy Miles. Cool.

Mikey and Jenean have a great home. They live in rural Grove on a hill overlooking a branch of the Grand Lake of the Cherokees. They can sit on their front deck and watch the boats.
