Happy Birthday, dad!!! I miss you!
I got this email today from Aunt Wanda and Uncle Don:
"Hi there,
Just wanted you all to know we were thinking of your dad today. He would have been 70, as I am sure you know. I used to joke with him and tell him that he was a lot older than me. My birthday is in November and I milked it all I could.

I got the same email and conversed a bit with them. It was very thoughtful of them to contact us kids. They were terribly behind speed on our lives.
I thought about Dad all day too and mentioned his birthday several times.
Reread his journal that he was writing as it came with my stuff from Meno.
I miss him too.
Is that the same journal that I have where he talks about his childhood? The Life and Times of Jim Kear. There are some great stories in that journal. I only wish he could have written more.
Yep. Same one. I wish he had written more, too. I wanted to hear what he thought about life with his kids, etc.
