Pa's Birthday

Emery Forrest LeCrone was born on December 2nd, 1909, four miles south of Helena, Oklahoma. He was a farmer, a cattleman, a trucker, and a business owner. He owned the "Top O' Texas" gas station and cafe in Texline, Texas, and later, the Meno Cafe and Texaco Station in Meno, Oklahoma. Pa had a great affection for dogs and cats, especially the stray ones that showed up at his house. He would always make sure that the strays were fed. Pa was the very picture of a tough western man, known for his honesty, dependablility, fairness, and compassion. He had seven children. He died in 1975 at 65 years of age.
