This is a picture of an old tire rim around the trunk of a tree in the yard of my great-grandparents' homestead 27 miles west of Clayton, New Mexico. As a little kid I was always impressed with this tire rim and wondered how they ever got it around such a big tree.Wednesday, November 1, 2006
