It was 7 miles north and 1/4 mile west of Ringwood, just south of Helena in Alfalfa County, Oklahoma

I love looking at old pictures and trying to figure out what life was like for the people inside.
Me, too. The looks on their faces and the clothes they were wearing are fascinating. Makes you wonder what they were thinking.
In the pictures above, I only remember William (my great-grandfather). When I was a little boy, my grandparents (Emery & Beryl LeCrone) lived in the house built by David H. LeCrone and my great-grandparents (Will & Ella) lived in a mobile home on the same property. So, I remember the inside of the house in the picture.
William was very old when I was a kid. I remember him chewing tobacco (Redman or Beechnut or something). Once I got stung by a wasp and Granddad (which is what I called him) took his already chewed tobacco, put it in a handkerchief, and used it as medicine on the wasp sting.
One of these days I tell the story of how I got burned at Will's house. It was not good.
I've actually heard that the tobacco can help in a sting, but it sure should gross!
