Shovey (pronounced "show vee") = Scoot over.
This is actually another one of my toddler words. When I was a little tyke we had a 1957 Chevy. This was way before the days of baby seats or even seat belts. I would always ride in the front seat between my Mom and Dad. Mom was used to sitting right next to Dad before I was born, so she would slide in through the driver's side to the middle of the seat. Then I would get in and tell her "Shovey!" Then she'd scoot over so I could sit between them. This always tickled Dad and he retained the use of the word throughout his life and passed it on to the rest of us.
My brother-in-law, Karold, reminded me to list shovey on Dad's dictionary because the term has been used as recently as a couple of days ago on their vacation.
